The Best Way to Wash Windows
Window washing is a crucial part of keeping your home looking good. It’s also an important part of keeping your windows clean and clear. If you don’t wash your windows often enough, they can build up dirt, grime and dust that can make them look dirty.
When it comes to window washing, there are several methods to choose from. You can use water alone or add soap or commercial cleaners if you want to make sure you’re getting rid of all the grime.
Best Way to Clean Window
There are two different ways you can wash your windows: with a sponge or with a squeegee or mop. We’ll show you how each method works and what you need to know so that you get the most out of your window washing routine.
If you’re using a sponge, start by wetting it in your bucket of soapy water. Wring out the sponge so that it’s not dripping wet and then start washing the window from top to bottom. Use circular motions to work the soap into the dirt and grime.
Once you’ve washed the entire window, rinse it off with clean water to remove all the soap residue. You can do this by spraying it with a hose or using a second bucket of clean water.
If you’re using a squeegee, start at the top corner of the window and pull the squeegee down in one smooth motion. Wipe the blade of the squeegee on a dry cloth after each stroke so that it doesn’t leave streaks.
Once you’ve gone over the entire window, rinse it off with clean water to remove any soap residue.
No matter which method you choose, be sure to dry your windows with a clean towel or cloth so that they don’t streak. And remember to wash your windows on a cloudy day or in the evening when the sun isn’t as strong so that the cleaner doesn’t evaporate before you have a chance to rinse it off.
